2048: A New Era

2048 is one of the most ambitious series I have ever written. Set in 2046, It is a pre- Apocalyptic epic that centers around A character named Tristan, and his group of friends as they deal with a massive event.  The United Staes and Russia are involved in an ongoing conflict, that culminates in an attack on US soil, Targeting a smallish town known as Vernon Hills, IL.  This series is taking place, leading into the year when an entire City is built underground.  If some of you are familiar with the City of Ember, this is taking place 220 years before that series.  It is about the events that ultimately lead the leaders of the town to have the people go underground.   This is part one of a 4 part series.  That I am going to be hopefully writing over the next 8 years.  Thus the epic.

Even though it ties directly into events that are happening now, this in no way is me saying that this is going to happen.  This whole series is a fiction, based on events that are happening presently, and building from there.

The entire group was in complete shock.  The passageway they were in was so dimly lit that one could only make out the reflection of the light as it hit their eyes.  The group was so winded from the 800 they had to run in order to get into the bunker, that they all looked pale.  The most distraught of the group was Morgan.  He was worried that the last words his father said to him would stick with him forever.  As his father closed the door, he said, "Morgan,  I feel better leaving you with the Smiths than being raised by me in a new era.  I could always tell that they were the first people that you would turn to if you had a problem.  When you snuck out all of those nights that you did, I always knew that you went to their house.  You always felt more comfortable around them than me.  Truth be told, I understood where you were coming from."  Morgan would never forget the image of his dad slowly fading away, as the door was forcibly slammed by the explosion.  As the door shut he reached out his hand, but Tristan immediately tackled him down, as Morgan let out a whimper, that was followed by a sob.

Tristan succeeded in calming him down after about 10 minutes.  Knowing that it was on himself to keep Morgan ok for the next several years.  Tristan than took out his phone and put it in video mode.  "Hello, all of you who will maybe be watching this video at some point in the future.  My name is Tristan Picha.  I will be one of the first people to inhibit this city of ember that I keep hearing about..."

New Year New Me - Blog Goals

As the ball dropped in NYC on December 31, I started to think of some ways to make both myself, and this blog better, and set this blog apart from other blogs.  Granted this is going to be hard so I started to do some brainstorming.  As I started to brainstorm, I came up with several ideas, but a lot of them are going to be really hard to achieve, especially on a students' budget.  I am going to star the ideas that I feel are more of a 3-year plan. After the initial list, I am going to break down each one for you all.  Be more approachable especially when I am going to different places. Pack Mentality Season 2 Part 11

Then-- Rick started to change.  The transition started with the eyes and then started to expand until he wound up with him being slightly bigger than Jackson, the eyes of his wolf-like form, slightly darker than Jacksons', Seeming to show the relationship between the two. The two of them trotted side-by-side, over to the scar-faced wolf and then, with a slight glint of pride the scared wolf said, "Welcome young Jackson.  Rick, do you promise to train Jackson in the ways of the wolf?" __________________________________ Rick stepped towards the Alpha, a glint of pride seemed to reflect off of his wolf like form and a spark of intent sparkled in his blaze orange eyes.   "I will, but not to the point where the monster takes over the man, Brandon ."
