Park Review - Cedar Point

A couple of years ago I got to cross something off my bucket list, and that thing was Going to Cedar point.  So I thought that that would be the best way to start my amusement park reviews, so here it is!

 Easy to get to (0-3) 
Cedar point amusement Park is a ways off the highway, but there are a very small amount of turns once you get of the highway from the west.  From the east it is also pretty easy to get to driving.  So for this area I give it a 3.

Parking (0-5) 
Parking at cedar point is also pretty easy because once we got there the lot started at the end of the road. But it does cost around 15 bucks so it is way cheaper than my home park, Six Flags Great America Where it is 25 bucks.  I give Cedar Point a 4.5 on this area because it can be cheaper.  

Nightlife (0-5) 
The nightlife at Cedar Point is one of my favorites at an amusement park that I have been to.  The icing on the cake is the amount of lights that they have down the midway and projected on the Rollercoasters (See the picture on the top)   The atmosphere is also way better at night than during the day.  This results in a 5 for Cedar point in this area as well.

 Food (0-5) 
Cedar point also has a variety of choices for dining and they range from Starbucks to Perkins.  The thing is though, they have to many chains in the park, so they do not really have a lot of original stuff.  Cedar point in this area gets a 2 because of the use of to many chains. 

 Family Friendliness  (0-5) 
During the day at Cedar Point there are a few things that could be improved on, but it has been a couple of years since I have been there so they might have improved on.  An example of this is the amount of smokers that I saw smoking in the line of Gatekeeper, so for this area I give Cedar Point a 2.5.

 Atmosphere (0-10)
The atmosphere at Cedar point is kind of skanky during the day, but it gets better towards the night which is why I gave the Nightlife a 5 out of 5, so I am going to give this area a 5 also to be consistent.  Remember that I have not been here in a couple of years so some things might have improved.

Theming (0-10)
 The theming at cedar point is really quite good.  The themes that they have at the park vary but are not really noticeable.  But it has been a while since I have been there, but according to what I remember the theming was good but not great so I give this area  a 7.

 Easy to get around (0-10)
When I was there I did get lost a couple of times because of the spacing between the roller coasters, so I give this area a 6.

Family Rides and Kids Rides (0-10)
 Cedar point has a ton of family and kids rides.  They vary from kids coasters to the flying scooter type rides, which seem to be super fun, so I am giving this area a 10 because of the variety of types of rides. 
  Thrill Rides (0-15) 
Cedar point also has a ton of thrill rides ranging from A Skyscreamer to a Sling Shot.  So for this area I give it a 15

Cleanliness (0-15)
Cedar point really wasn't that clean, or clean to my liking.  Which is going to be a shot to the point total here.  The Bathrooms were super sandy, the Midway had pieces of gum on the ground just to give a couple of examples.  So all in all in all I give this area a 6, because it really wasn't super clean.

 Rollercoasters (0-20) 
Finally the main reason why people go to amusement parks, the rollercoasters.  Given this is "Americas Roller Coast"  It lives up to its name.  So I give this area a 19.  The rollercoasters are spectacular here (Except for Corkscrew).

Overall Experience 
The point total for cedar point is a 103 out of 113 which is a A -.  The main reason why I give this park a A- is the atmosphere and the fact that it was not so clean.  Overall, I had a great time at this amusement Park, but if you go, I recommend you go for at least 2 days to get the whole experience.  We stayed a little ways from the park in a hotel in a different part of Ohio that was around  15 - 20 minutes away because  it was cheaper than staying in the park.

New Year New Me - Blog Goals

As the ball dropped in NYC on December 31, I started to think of some ways to make both myself, and this blog better, and set this blog apart from other blogs.  Granted this is going to be hard so I started to do some brainstorming.  As I started to brainstorm, I came up with several ideas, but a lot of them are going to be really hard to achieve, especially on a students' budget.  I am going to star the ideas that I feel are more of a 3-year plan. After the initial list, I am going to break down each one for you all.  Be more approachable especially when I am going to different places. Pack Mentality Season 2 Part 11

Then-- Rick started to change.  The transition started with the eyes and then started to expand until he wound up with him being slightly bigger than Jackson, the eyes of his wolf-like form, slightly darker than Jacksons', Seeming to show the relationship between the two.
