True Blue Season 2 Winter finale

It had been just over 15 minutes after the shootout with Calvin and Dwayne had occurred. Dwayne was taken immediately to the hospital due to the injuries he had sustained in the firefight. He had been shot twice, once in the kneecap and once in the back. More specifically, the back right shoulder. The clean up had also started. The Hopcat Brewpub had been left looking awful. There was shattered glass everywhere, blood on the floor by where the lady that had been shot was laying, and also there had been several bullet holes in the bar. Luckily no one got hit by errant bullets other than one of the Bartenders. Though it was minor, she was still in a lot of pain.
Looking around the room at the faces of the people that were left, was a rather intriguing experience. There seemed to be an overwhelming amount of insecurity, and panic. More prevalent than anything, there seemed to be a sense of relief. The police officers were combing the bar, both checking to see if everyone was alright, and questioning the witnesses, making sure that the firefight was justified. It seemed like it was, and everyone that was there seemed to have the same opinion.
Tired of looking at the scene, detective Ramirez and Tony left the brewpub and decided to check out who Calvin Called.

After about 45 minutes detective Ramirez and Tony decided to use the Hopcat Brewpub for ground zero for the operation to get out Kevin. Even though the pub was a mess, it seemed like it was close enough to the warehouse where Kevin was being held. It had everything that an operation would need. There was also enough room for everyone that would be participating in the recon mission. Tony seemed to agree with the decision to make the pub the home base, so he called in all the company's that were involved in setting up the operation in the first place.
On that list was the FBI, SWAT, Grand Rapids Police Department, East Grand Rapids Police Department, and the county sheriff's department. Over time the teams started to arrive at the location that they had given them. Some were confused on why they were using a place that was such a mess, but the others understood after seeing the bar.
In the distance, Detective Ramirez could hear some rumbles of thunder and could sense a storm coming. What a time for a storm he thought to himself as he envisioned the operation going down. His thoughts were disrupted when he heard Tony call a meeting of the departments.
"It's about to get really intense around here. We are going to be doing a full-scale raid on Calvin's warehouse. Inside the warehouse, there is a kid who has been kidnapped and away from his home for around a week. Detective Ramirez has made contact with him a few times and says he seems to be doing alright as of a couple of days ago. We do not know if this has changed within the last several hours as me and detective Ramirez engaged with the primary suspects a few hours ago. Kevin is wounded and will likely need treatment for some injuries that he had sustained in the first few hours of his kidnapping. There is another kid in there that both Ramirez and I would like to see unharmed at the end of this operation, but if you have too, shoot to wound unless more complicated situations arise. Detective Ramirez and I have scouted out the warehouse and know that there are several new vehicles in the parking lot. If you see any hostiles, shoot to kill. I do not want to lose any men tonight. There is a storm brewing out there so be careful."
"Police officers and deputies, I would like you to create a three-block perimeter to ensure the safety of the civilians around here because this might get ugly real fast. These people are trained with explosives so keep your eyes on the person in front of you. The rest of us, Split up into four teams. I want to engage from all sides to make sure that the body count is low."

Inside the warehouse, Kevin had noticed a bit more activity. Roxanne's phone rang about an hour ago, and since then she had been making phone calls non stop. Before he knew it there were three guards standing in front of the door, and a few others scattered around inside. He counted at least 10 people from the door to the entrance, and the number was climbing. Knowing that things were going to start to get a little bit intense he tried to do anything he could to make sure that he was protecting himself in the best way possible.
While he was adjusting in his chair he started to notice some more activity outside. He glanced at the guards curiously and much to his disappointment, somebody was approaching his room with an explosive of some kind. He started panicking but then his panicking was cut short with a solid punch to the jaw, knocking him out. He came too a few minutes later, spitting out blood, realizing that he was sitting on a bomb. He saw a series of wires, and also that he was sitting on some kind of board. "Shit." He told himself as he realized that he had been tied up, and any chance of him making it out alive had been reduced greatly just in a matter of what seemed like seconds. He knew that his hands handcuffed, but when he was out, they must have zip tied his ankles to the chair.
Over time it seemed that an increase in the organization of the defense had occurred as people started milling around into there respective positions.

Tony announced, "On my count we are going to lock this place down, and then we move. Deputies go and block the roads. The rest of you, follow me! Let's show these Bitches that this is our town!"
As if on cue, the rain started to come down. The storm seemed to have been breaking up overhead, but that did not mean jack. The operation was in full swing, and the smell of wet pavement swallowed everyone whole.
Tony's team trotted down the street at a decent pace. Where they were heading was a 20-minute walk from Hopcat, so he did the calculations in his head of how long it would take to get there and came to the solution that it would take them around 10-15 minutes to get there.
The teams eventually split off into there receptive positions and then things started getting interesting. Now they were around 3 minutes out and shots were starting to be heard. 8 snipers were positioned inside of the building, 2 per side. As they got closer, Tony started to here the bullets buzzing buy him. A couple of his men were hit already and that number was bound to increase. Taking note of some cars that were parked alongside the road, Tony called out to his team, telling them to move to the sidewalks. Tony started firing back as they got closer. He knew he hit someone because bullets stopped being fired from one of the windows.
He glanced over too his right and saw that a couple of the swat team members had been killed by the barrage of bullets. Turning his gaze forward he sent out a prayer for the safety of everyone involved. This team eventually made it to the door and lined up one in front of the other.

The amount of gunfire startled Kevin as he sat in his room half crying and half praying. He was really not sure what scared him more. The fact that he was sitting on an active bomb was part of it. Trying to think about what to do, he bent over to try and see what he was sitting on. It was really nothing major, so he studied the bomb curiously and every once and a while he glanced up to see if anybody was nearby, and also see if there was anything he could use to try and survive this mess. While he was scanning he made notice of the rooms set up. His chair was set up next to a table, Underneath him was a piece of old and beat up cardboard with some wires connecting it to the bottom of the chair.
He looked up and saw the doorway, and just to the right of the door was the counter with the check-in sheet, where people signed in as they gave him food and the little medical attention that he got. The last person to sign in and take thorough care of him was James Rodrick. He had received little if any food since the last time he saw him. They still gave him water every now and then but that was only once or twice a day. He continued to scan around the room for anything that could help him in this hell hole of a situation, noticing the all to familiar gray tone in the room. Much to his disappointment, nothing really stood out as helpful until on the ground next to him, he spotted a paperclip. Since his hands were free under the table, he attempted to reach down and grab it without moving too much.
Outside, he could tell that there was an intense battle going on. He heard gunshots and shouts coming from every direction. If he even had a chance of getting out this was the time. Using every bit of strength he had left, he reached down and retrieved the paper clip without moving the cardboard. As quietly as he could, he attempted to pick the lock. It took a few minutes, but he got it. The handcuffs released to reveal some skin that had been slightly rubbed raw. James loosened the handcuffs some, but it was not enough to give his skin a break. A sigh of relief escaped and a mini celebration ensued, he then felt his chair move.
For a moment, a desperate silence filled the room. He then took the paper clip started to attempt to saw his right ankle free. After several moments of trying to break the zip tie, it seemed like nothing was happening. Kevin started moving faster because he knew that this firefight would continue to go on for a shorter period of time because the gunshots started getting closer and closer. It continued to seem like he would be stuck in this chair for forever, but then he heard a piece of the wood chip off of the door followed by another and another. All of the sudden Kevin started to hear bullets come whizzing by his head. Overtaken by fear, he ducked under the table,
He heard a series of bullets and then a weight fell on top of him knocking both his chair and his table over.. All the sudden he heard a triple beep and then complete and udder silence surrounded him.

"Holy shit! What have I done!" exclaimed Tony as he realized what seemed like a pressure pad had been tripped. Thinking quickly, He called Detective Ramirez who was right by his side. "This is a mess." In front of them, they saw a table tipped over and Kevin sitting in a chair that had been tipped over also. In front of the mess, the guard that detective Ramirez had shot dead was sitting up against the table.
The two of them moved as quickly as possible and tore the broken table and the body off of Kevin. They examined the bottom of the chair, looking for the explosives. They found them and they saw a timer on the chair. Detective Ramirez stayed by Kevin's side while Tony looked for anything to cut the zip ties. By the time Tony found something, The clock read 90 Seconds. Moving as quickly as possible they cut Kevin loose and then told him to run. By the time they cut the zip ties, the clock read 10 seconds. Detective Ramirez was the last to attempt to leave the room, but he felt like he was too slow. "10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1..." He whispered to himself. He laid out as he had started to reach 4. He just barely dove enough so that Tony could drag him to safety just as the bomb exploded.
They laid on the ground for a little while incapacitated for a moment as they regained their bearings. There ears were ringing for what seemed like forever, but after a few minutes they got up, hearing still slightly shot. The warehouse was a mess. There were bodies everywhere. Both Calvin's people and Tony's people were scattered about. One person, they walked by was bleeding badly from the left quad. They picked him up and helped walk him outside when they were confronted by young Andreas with a knife around Kevin's neck. "Stop right there." He said as he stood in the middle of the warehouse. More and more members of the raid team started to show up.
"Put down the knife." Detective Ramirez told Andreas calmly, "Let's not make this anymore messy than it is. Look around you. It's over." Just as he finished Roxanne appeared, just barely able to walk.
"Not yet it's not,", She called as she fired a bullet and hit Kevin square in the forearm.
Her bullet was answered by another as Tony shot her, leaving her bleeding on the ground. "Please Andreas, you have nothing right now. No leverage. No backup. No family. Don't make us take you away too."
Slowly, Tears started to fill Andreases eyes. "Come on Andreas. Kevin is your friend. You can't do this."
As much as it hurt Kevin started to move his arm that had just been shot, blood dripping and grabbed Andreas' knife hand.
"Just let him go."
"No, I can't. I owe my family this."
In one swift movement, Kevin moved the knife away from his neck, and Tony shot Andreas in the hand so he would drop his knife. The knife was dropped, and Kevin tackled him hard, and pinned him down, and beckoned for detective Ramirez's Cuffs. Kind of taken aback by the swift movement with the two wounds that Kevin had, Detective Ramirez handed him his handcuffs.
Sharing one quick glare. Kevin lead Andreas to Tony and Tony took custody of Andreas. Detective Ramirez called clear into the radio, and ambulances, Firetrucks, and also police cars came to the warehouse. Kevin saw his mom in one of the cars and hardly able to contain his excitement he waited for her to pull up closer. Her car came to a complete stop, and she ran out of the ca and Took Kevin into her arms. Ignoring the blood that was coming from his arm, the cut on his face, and the gunshot wound from a few days prior that had reopened when he took down Andreas. The embrace lasted for 5 minutes, and then he Lead her to Detective Ramirez and Tony. His rescuers. As, Red and Blue lights were filling up the block, His mom greeted both of them with a hug.
Detective Ramirez turned to her and said, "Kevin's a great kid. tough too. Keep an eye on him though."
"No problem."
"Also, He needs to go to the doctor and get some proper repairs. he's a mess right now."
"I was just headed to the ambulance."

Kevin woke up from surgery a couple hours later. Even though his arms were incredibly sore, he was still smiling. His mom entered soon after he woke up, and gave him a bear hug in his bed.
"How are you feeling?" She asked.
"So sore. I don't think I'll be able to start work for awhile."
She answered, "You already have."

- Thus concludes the winter finale of True Blue. Since Wavelength never took off and I ran out of ideas, that series is now cancelled.
