True Blue Season 2 Preview

Warning: Language, and things that you should not try at home.  EVER.  If you do, the police will show up and bad things will ensue.

James asked Roxanne if Kevin had been given anything to eat, and Roxanne said shook her head.  After some convincing on James' part, she decided to make Kevin a turkey sandwich with a side of chips, with a napkin on the side.  James took note of the napkin and then looked around covertly for a pen and had no luck.

He picked up the plate and started to look for Kevin.  While he was looking around he found a kid around his age and approached him cautiously.  After a few seconds, James reached him and then crouched to his knees, so that he seems non-threating and closer to the kid's height  to seem friendly, and asked: "Have you seen a kid around your age in here?" The kid nodded and pointed in the direction of a room at the end of the hall.  "Thank you-," he paused for a second to try and remember his name from the briefing that he had earlier.

"Andreas, my name is Andreas." The kid said, softly.

James nodded his head and gratefully responded, "Thank you, Andreas.  I will see you around.

Rodrick eventually then reached the room at the hall and he paused, took a deep breath, looked behind him and entered the room.  Upon entering he spotted Kevin, and then across from Kevin, there was a counter.  On it there was a feeding schedule and a pen.  He breathed a sigh of relief and wrote his initials and the time and date.  He then covertly set the napkin on that counter and wrote a note on it.

As he approached he examined Kevin closely.  He had dark brown hair, brown eyes, and had on a old and dirty Abercrombie and Fitch T-Shirt, with a rather nice Detroit Tigers snapback next to him.  He was wearing a dirty pair of khakis, with a pair of Jordans on.  Rodrick reached the table and put the plate down.  While he did that he cautiously pulled the napkin out and, and walked out of the room.  As he left, Rodrick turned around and saw Kevin's eyes light up.  He winked and closed the door behind him.

Kevin picked up the note and stuffed it into his pocket and then smiled as he enjoyed his late supper.

The next day, James woke up to Calvin standing over him with a gun in his hand, Calvin was just sitting there admiring his gun, finger on the trigger.  Rodrick knew that the gun was in safety mode, but still, the way Calvin was admiring it made Rodrick feel uneasy.  "Good morning bud.  You have passed in hand to hand combat, but there is more to this gig then that, so today and tomorrow we are going to see what you are made of, and if you don't pass, well you are going to get fired, and then some because well, you have seen our faces, and we would not want you to expose anything to the police or anything.

Rodrick rose his head as if he was going to respond, but he thought better of it when Calvin raised his voice, "Am I clear?"

"Crystal."

"Now that is what I like to hear! Let's get started."

Calvin then started to explain what the first test was going to be, From what Rodrick picked up, he had to assemble and disassemble a sniper rifle in under 35 seconds.

This came relatively easy to Rodrick because, like his cover, he was ex-military, and withdrew from the army because he wanted to have more time with his family.  The test started out a little rough at first because he had not done this since he came back from Iraq in 2011, but like riding a bike, it came back to him.

Calvin looked at his work and headed into the other room, and checked to make sure it worked, and it did.  "Nice work! Under 20!"  James dipped his head and then said, "What next?"

Calvin lead the way to the breakfast table and replied "I like your enthusiasm.  30-minute lunch break and then we will head out of town for the next one. "

For lunch, Calvin and James had sandwiches and headed back out into Calvin's car.  Dwayne oped the door for Calvin first, and then James second.  They drove about an hour outside of town and arrived at a seemingly abandoned quarry.  When they got there, Calvin met with the owner of the quarry and introduced him to James aa new coworker.  After a few minutes, the owner said, "The quarry is yours.  Everyone has left except for me, so do what you came to do."  Seeming to read between the lines of what Calvin was saying.

Being the detective that he was detective Ramirez made note of the quarry owner, and the come that was in his ear picked the owners name up.  Calvin then turned to James and then said with a smirk, "Ok, so this next test should be easier for you to do because it has to do with weapons engineering.  You are to engineer a bomb so that it detonates ok?"

James nodded, and then asked, "Where are the supplies?"

Calvin called Dwayne, and he came with a carrying a box of supplies.  In that case of supplies were C4, some tape, a motherboard, wires and some rope of some kind.

Calvin answered, "These.  You have 20 minutes.  Now Go!"

James took a look at the supplies and ran through several different combinations of what to build, and then came to a solution.  He would wire up a bomb with a phone to detonate it.  Thinking quickly he pulled out his Swiss Army Knife, flipped it to the screwdriver set, and opened up the phone and connected it to the motherboard that was already built.  He checked his watch and realized that around 10 minutes had passed.  He paused and checked his breathing.

After a brief pause, he put the two sticks of C4 next to his concoction and plugged a couple more spare wires that were left on the motherboard into the sticks of C4.  He told Calvin to back away, and then asked if he could borrow Dwayne's phone, and then told him to get away from the live bomb.  He plugged his number into Dwayne's phone and started running.  He glanced down and whispered to himself "Oh Shit!" As he realized that he accidentally hit call--.

-I am looking forward to this winter break, as there will be a new series starting up, and this one going on.

-This series is something that I do not recommend to children under thirteen because there is some language, action, and graphic violence.

-This will be my last post until after finals
