Lifest Debrief and Review
Earlier this month I went to A Little music festival with 20,000+ people and camped out at a campground not that far away from the festival grounds. On this article I will list out the artists I saw and talk out the highs and lows of my experience and also talk about some tips for people who want to go next year.

Highs and Lows
in this section I am going to write about a couple of highlights and there are a ton of them ranging from a soundcheck session to walking around in the rain
- Thursday
- High - We got there and it was raining the entire day, so My Girlfriend and I kind of kissed in the rain
- High - I became a fan of a band called Brightwork who will be talked about later in this article
- High - During Tobymacs set it started to rain right at the bass drop on feel it. The best part about the entire thing is that he didn't care that it was lighting out and he was out there hanging out with us
- Low - I completely wiped out when toby started Jesus freak and had to get some repairs during the end of the set :(
- Friday
- High - Tom Coverly did one of the most amazing illusions I have ever seen in my entire life, which challenged an illusion that I saw at Camp
- High - KB Was awesome. He practically came into the pit and partied with me and a bunch of other people
- High - I found a new favorite Jeremy Camp song called I Will Follow (you are with me)
- Low - Citizen Way was kind of a blow, and FF5 was Lip Synching (or he got his breathing right)
- Saturday
- High - Joel (For King and Country Lead singer) called me bro and I had my pic with him (He remembered me)
- High - Superchick got an encore on there last set as a band and it was an awesome experience .
- High - There was this great kid that stood in front of me and my girlfriend and she hugged us after for king and countries Set!!
- Low - I had to leave and got home at like 2:00 am
- Brightwork: A old school Rock group that is super fun and engaging. Their sound is incredible.
- I Am They: Another Pop/Rock group that has several Albums and the sound kind of Folky as well
- Loftland: A grudge rock group that sounds similar to FF5 and Veridia. There is also some funk in there
- Cloverton - Another old school rock group. The lead singers voice is incredible.
Review
Lifest is my Favorite Festival that I go to annually mainly because the memories that get made there last a lifetime. I still remember my first time there and that was a few years ago. The Festival has music for everyone ranging from Hard Rock, to worship. It is also an extremely family friendly environment with cooling stations around the ground. The food is also extremely cheap and good. The only complaint that I have to say is the people at the Mongolian grill could have been kind of racist. There are Port a potties all over the festival grounds and they are very well maintained. They also have bathrooms everywhere. It is also very easy to get to from the south, and you can stay on the grounds so you have less travel and gas. You can also get autographs from the artists that play the festival. The last thing I would like to mention is that There are a ton of worship sessions, Devotions, and seminars for people to attend for spiritual Growth and refreshment.
Overall I give this festival a 9 out of 10 stars.
Pointers
- Online you could print of the daily schedules
- Download the app- On the app you could make your own schedule and synch it to your calendar so you could get notifications
- Be Prepared for anything - The festival goes on rain or shine so dress appropriately
- You do not need to stay on the festival grounds- When you stay on the grounds, the price gets kind of pricy and there are campgrounds all around the expo center
- DRINK WATER - It can be extremely hot and the festival still goes on so pack water
- Bring stuff to do- This one is very helpful because there maybe downtimes between acts that you want to see (or explore) I bring my frisbee every year.
- Don't be afraid to talk to people and make friends - Chances are you might see them the next year if they go and you stay in communication
- Here is a map of the grounds so you can plan accordingly
