Miller Park Review

Ballpark Review - Miller Park

Overview

  • Field Surface - Grass
  • Type of stadium - Retractable Roof (the roof was closed for the game I went to)
  • Height - 300 ft
  • Occupancy - 41,900
  • Overall Size of the site - 265 Acres

Easy To get to (0 - 3)
I give this ballpark a 2 because even though you can see the roof from the interstate, It is kind of confusing to get to.  During the drive to the stadium, we (me and my girlfriend) took the long way around.  The other times I have been here, (With the Family, etc) We took an easy way to the ballpark that is not hard to get around.

Parking (1-5)
Parking at Miller Park, even though it is kind of expensive ($20 to be exact) is super organized.  They have flaggers everywhere telling you where to park if you ever visit the stadium.  Getting out of the lots is also pretty easy, so overall I give the parking here a 5.

Food Choices (Scale of 1 - 5)
One thing that i have noticed at every single ballpark I go to is the fact that they are famous for a different menu at each park, but Miller Park Does not have that many good food choices.  It only has your typical ball park food.  So I give this section a 2.

Family Friendliness (Scale of 1 - 5)
Family friendliness at this park is sort of challenging to rate because the section that we were in for the game was kind of not that family friendly because the guys behind us and in row one of the section were Wasted.  There were several Cuss words being thrown out from the guys behind us as well.  Given the bleachers however, there are several family oriented activities, and sections of the ballpark including a play area for the kids that had a pitching radar, and also some mini games on the concourse.  The family sections were section 232, along with a few others.  Overall I give this area of the ranking system a 3.5 because there are parts of the ballpark that I wouldn't recommend for Kids.

Architecture (1-10)
Miller Park is one of my favorite ballparks architecturally because of the variety of supplies that were used to build it.  These supplies include Brick, Cement, and steel.  Also it is incredible to just look at because of the complexity of the stadium.  Because of these Reasons I give this stadium a 9.

Amenities (1-10)
There are Bathrooms and stuff everywhere at this ballpark so for that I give this ballpark a high score, But I recommend you do your research on the team website before.  The link is below if you find yourself going to a game (or anything at this stadium)  here.  I give this ballpark a 7.

Atmosphere (1-10)
The ambiance Here Is really not that great because the fans really do not really get into the game that much compared to Mets fans, or Nationals Fans which are two of my favorite fan bases in the MLB.  Also, the atmosphere does not really compare to the architecture of the actual ballpark, kind of like Minute Maid Park.  I give the atmosphere here a 5.

Entertainment (1-15)
The entertainment at this ballpark is really spectacular from Bernie's Dugout, to the Sausage Race that they do every home Game, to the stuff on the jumbo-torn.  I have to say this is one of the most entertaining ballparks I have ever been to.  Not only that, but the Team is actually kind of decent compared to other teams in the league.  Also the game was really good which really helps this category.  So over all for this area of my ranking system I give this place a 10.

Appearance (1-15)
Miller Park is really crisp in design and also looked extremely clean.  Props to the janitors that take care of this ballpark.  So I give this a 15.

Overall Experience (Total and Letter Grade)
