Bramble's Prophecy - Prologue continued
Jackson ran back toward the campground, shaking in fear from what he had experienced, running like there was no tomorrow. He constantly checked behind him, making sure that no one, Or thing He thought to himself, Was behind him. He continually wiped the blood off the back of his head. He tripped over another stick and landed on another rock, and everything went gray.
It seemed that an instant had passed, and he blinked awake. Everything was blurry, but he saw a Dark shadowy, and twisted figure in front of him. When the blurring went away he saw one of the Wolves in The Tribe of the Falling Sun, Taylor the medic of the tribe. It took him a moment to recognize where he was. Ok, I'm in the camp of the tribe now, how did I get here? Whats that smell? He thought to himself. He tried to get up, but Taylor pinned him down and Called Pheonix's Sun over.
He drifted back out of consciousness and he woke up in a woods that he did not recognize. "Welcome." He heard a voice say. "I know you may be scared, but you are here for a reason."
Jackson screamed in fear, his voice cracked, and he ran. " you can't run because I'll still find you."
Jackson turned back and between breaths called, "Who... or... What... Are you?"
"You will get that answer soon enough. Take note of your surroundings. You will see me here soon."
Where he was started to fade away, and Jackson drifted back awake. He saw Taylor standing by his side again. She called Pheonix's Sun over again, and a few moments later he arrived, standing by Taylor's side, with Bramble on the opposite side.
He heard Bramble say, "Welcome back. You're doing a lot better than when I saw you last. Thank goodness I was having trouble sleeping."
"Wait, what? What time is it?"
"It's roughly sundown."
"I've been out that long?"
"Yep."
That was Taylor he could tell. Jackson replied, "How did I get here?"
Pheonix's Sun answered, "Well Bramble spotted you and called the nearest patrol, and they carried you here. Taylor instantly came out her den and treated you. How are you feeling?"
"A little woozy. I hit my head really good out there didn't I?"
Taylor answered, "Yep. We are going to keep you here a little longer just until we find out if you are ok to walk back."
"I have to get back to my post!"
"You can't until your cuts heal. You were pooling after that last fall. That's why you drifted out again."
"It was that bad?"
Bramble answered, "yep."

Meanwhile back at the cabin, Darlene was stressing out because Jackson had been gone for more than 12 hours. She was shaking her head and looking at Rick with a look of nervousness and fear on her face, just trying to hold it together. Rick put one arm around her shoulder, and pulled her in for a hug and told her that everything was going to be alright. Shortly after, he hopped onto an ATV to go on a morning patrol, with a gun slung over his shoulder. On his patrol, 20 minutes into it, he saw a stone covered in something that he did not want to see. There was a small blood stain on it. Fearing for the worst, He explored the surrounding area for anything. Then, after looking around for 10 minutes, He saw a tuft of fur sitting in one of the bushes. After examining it in further detail, he discovered that it was a tuft of fur.
He instantly hopped back on his ATV and floored it in what he thought was the direction to the Tribe of the Falling Sun's camp, because that was the closest to where he was.
After driving for 10 more minutes, he arrived at the camp. After coming to a complete stop, he dismounted his ATV and walked into the camp. Pheonix's Sun was standing next to Taylor, and Bramble and a person just barely sitting up. He got closer to the group and stepped on a stick, and Bramble whipped around, "Took you long enough! I found this kid out in the woods knocked out, blood flowing out of his head."
"Yeah. What am I going to tell his mother."
The group chuckled for a little bit, but then Rick added: "In all seriousness, What happened?" He then looked Jackson in the eye. "What were you doing out so late? You do know that I have to be with you when you are out right?"
Jackson spoke, still a little woozy from drifting in and out of consciousness, "I have so much to tell you and ask you about would you please sit next to me so you don't have to-" He paused and looked into the sky and tried to remember what he was going to say.
